This is the second in a series of three lectures on the development of Hong Kong art in the last 50 years, co-presented by Asia Art Archive and Hong Kong Museum of Art. In this talk held at the Hong Kong Museum of Art on 16 July 2011, Lucia Cheung introduces a number of important artists, including those who helped shape her artistic development, through their works, photographs, and writings. She also reviews her recent interviews with local artists of different generations, reflecting on societal changes through discussions about these artists’ identities.
The 'Hong Kong Art from 1960 to 2010 Lecture Series' is held in association with the exhibition 'From Common to Uncommon – the Legend of Ha Bik Chuen’ at Hong Kong Museum of Art.
