Excerpt from Inward Gazes: Documentaries of Chinese Performance Art 2012, The Macao Museum of Art, Macau S.A.R., 2012, p. 44: 'Over the course of the four seasons of the year — Autumn, Winter, Spring, and Summer — Porcelain and Powder was performed by smashing, knocking, and grinding a piece of porcelain ware to powder as its final status. All things happen according to the laws of nature.'

The performance took place in Beijing, China in October, 2011.
