"Portraits Reassessed[]" features works by the staff of the School of Fine Art. This annual exhibition is notable for three reasons: firstly, it is opportune to showcase the forte of the various practising artists who teach in the School; secondly it makes available to our students the critical practices that go into their everyday learning realized in the works of the lecturers, and finally, it showcases to the public new and cutting edge developments in the visual arts. ... In this exhibition, portraiture - traditionally known to capture, illustrate and freeze history - is revisited, reassessed, rejuvenated and problematised. This process underscores the educational approach to art practice at the College." - Chandrasekaran S. Head of the School of Fine Art, LASALLE-SIA College of the Arts.
