This publication presents to its reader a number of writings by and on the artist group Raqs Media Collective, a trio of Indian artists working on mainly multimedia installations which explore boundaries of aesthetic theory, labour conditions, value, and historical expositions.
This first session of the book contains essays written by Raqs themselves, explaining the philosophy behind their work and showcasing their own theoretical undertaking. The second comprises of three commentaries which provide in-depth readings of Raqs's works.
Includes biographies of contributors.
