Published to accompany the retrospective exhibition of Song Young-su at the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Korea from October to December 2010. Song was part of the first generation of artists produced by Korean fine arts colleges after the 1945 Liberation and is considered a pioneer in the field of abstract welded iron sculpture. He also experimented with other materials during his career, such as copperplate, wood, and terracotta.

To supplement the essays and plates, this catalogue includes a list of lost works, critical commentary on individual works, artist's notes, chronology, bibliography, and a list of exhibited works. Note that the essays and commentary are in both Korean and English while other sections are in Korean only.
