Sun Never Sets

Excerpt from Inward Gazes: Documentaries of Chinese Performance Art 2012, The Macao Museum of Art, Macau S.A.R., 2012, p. 102: 'This performance art was made along the route of the Qingzang Railway in 2007. Starting from Ge Ermu, the train passes Xi Datan, Wu Daoliang, Er Daogou, Tuo Tuohe, Yan Shiping, An Duo, Gang Xiu, Na Qu, Gu Lu, Wu Matang, Dang Xiong, Yang Bajing, etc. It finally arrives at Lhasa.

Using some stones, the artist created patterns with a falling sun and a hill with clouds between them to make a cartoon in which the sun never falls.'

The performance took place on the route of the Qingzang Railway, China.
