This catalogue is published in conjunction with Tan Teng Kee's solo exhibition at Sculpture Square, Singapore, from September to October 2001.
This publication provides us a detailed study of the artist's work spanning forty two years of activity in which a wide range of drawings, prints, paintings, and three dimensional works were created. Regarded as a sculptor, Tan's engagements with two-dimensional medium are significant and related to his sculpture, indicating a broad scope for his practice. In this book, Tan's art is studied and appraised in its wider art historical context.
The book is divided into five sections: 'Introduction', 'Chronology and Context', 'Catalogue', 'Tan Teng Kee in Conversation with T.K. Sabapathy', and 'Biodata'.
