At the end of 2005, The Hong Kong Art School organized a symposium, Trading Places: Contemporary Art and Cultural Imaginaries of the Pearl River Delta, in which the School's former Director, Matthew Turner, has curated a series of exchanges and forums between artists and writers from the three cities. This publication is not only a record of the discussions but an extension of the interchanges in the region. With introduction by Matthew Turner, symposium agenda and biographies of the participants.
