This catalogue presents the works of nine individual artists and one two-man team coming from eight Asian countries: China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. Their works reflect their respective histories and cultures while at the same time express the common contemporary spirit shared by these young people living in the present. Through the showing of these contemporary art works made by Asian artists, the organiser attempts to elucidate the kind of happiness sought by Asian people, and to examine the question of whether Asian artists can create new values to offer the world.
