This is the catalogue for Wei Guangqing's solo exhibition at Shanghart Gallery in 2000. Wei Guangqing is an important vanguard in China, especially from 1985 to the early 90's. Highlighted in the catalogue are paintings from his 'Red Wall' series, in which the artist combines Chinese narrative texts and images in the style of pop art with a seemingly non-political appearance. A brief biography of the artist is included at the back of the catalogue.
