This book gives an introduction to a special type of museums which document the wounds and trauma of human history. Examples are the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Anne Frank House, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and the Imperial War Museum. Audience's reception as well as the relationship between museums' narration and collective memory are also investigated.
