Yang Shanshen is one the leading masters of the Lingnan School of painting and is well-known for his animal, landscapes and flower-and-bird paintings. The present catalogue is published on the occasion of Yang Shan Shen's exhibition at the Macao Museum of Art. With text by Chinese painting master Xu Beihong on Yang's works, followed by Zhang Daqian's handwritten version of the text. Biographical information of Yang and a list of his seals can also be found in this publication.
