Join us for a lecture performance by artists Tsz Wai Pun and Ricky that engages personal narratives for a more expansive understanding of art history. This event is part of Another Day in Hong Kong, currently on view at AAA’s library.

History is not simply a record of the past, bound by historical documents and archival materials—it remains a dynamic, ongoing conversation. In this lecture performance, artists Tsz Wai Pun and Ricky will recall personal and familial stories about an ordinary day to explore their lived and divergent histories. Through artistic interventions, Pun and Ricky break with conventional research methods, examining how the ever-shifting vantage points of micronarratives can present a more vibrant art history.

This event is part of Another Day in Hong Kong, AAA’s current exhibition that reconstructs a past day in Hong Kong’s art history through archives, personal memories, imagination, and artistic interventions.

Free and open to the public with registration. This event will be conducted in English and Cantonese. No simultaneous interpretation will be provided.

The lecture performance is followed by a conversation with the artists.
