Under the theme of Time Crevasse, the third Yokohama Triennale showcases various forms of time-based art and spatial art ranging from video/short films, photography, installation, sculpture to sound art, performance art and choreography. Led by Mizusawa Tsutomu as the Artistic Director, the curatorial team is comprised of Daniel Birnbaum, Hu Fang, Miyake Akiko, Hans Ulrich Obrist and Beatrix Ruf. When the curatorial team appears international, the participating artists are not only international but also inter-generational, involving the early avant-garde artists such as Marina Abramović, Mike Kelley, Paul McCarthy, Joan Jonas, Yoko Ono, Min Tanaka and Gustav Metzger, as well as those from the younger generation, such as Shilpa Gupta, Cao Fei, Tozer Pak, Terence Koh, Tim Lee and Miranda July.
