This is the catalogue for 'Art in Southeast Asia 1997: Glimpses into the Future', an exhibition organized jointly by the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo, the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art and the Japan Foundation Asia Center. It featured some 80 works by artists from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand, highlighting the diversity of art in Southeast Asia today.
