BIAO

Excerpt from 'Wang Gongxin & Lin Tianmiao website' (http://wanggongxin.com/):

'The title is unique for its use of pronunciation rather than common used kanji, so as to blend three profound concept: surface, time and performance (mount) into one work. The artist uses all white rice paper to mount the 400 square meter ex-USA Arsenal in Germany, therefore covered all the previous mark and signs of the arsenal, but which was again unexpectedly disclosed by the underdeveloped and image-changing photograph. Walking in the set-specific Installation induce a mysterious experience which mix the U.S.A , German and Chinese culture, melt the past history and today’s functional presence , and vitalize our unique way of understanding to the textual performance.'
