Artist statement for I Have Nothing to Say and I am Saying It:
'As Chinese people’s freedom of saying is limited, so in order to let everyone have chance to speak out what they want to say, I designed a special setting in the exhibit hall with a microphone and a sound amplifier. When people speak to a microphone, through the sound amplifier their voices will change a bit, so we cannot hear the original voices. Further, I also add a laser, then with a combination of sound and light waves, an interesting space interaction occurs. But instead of voicing something directly, most audiences tend to rap the microphone with hands. Of course, sound and light will work at the same time.'
