Artist statement for Green or not green that is the question:

'To survive or to perish, this is a question worth considering, because there is no issue more serious than it. The sentence 'Green or not green, that is the question' actually borrows from the original words of Shakespeare, which reflects what people really need is not only the prophet on ecological crisis, but also a pioneer for today’s global problems. To survive or to perish is also an issue of Ecology. As the current process of urbanization accelerated, the ecology system is facing more and more problems.And this work has a significant meaning, because this island is facing these problems. This work had its significance for Xiao Zhou, an island with a greeting natural sences, which this work focused on, is facing the awful pollution. The sentence mentioned above also reflects usual administrative means of Chinese government. That is, it is unnecessary to state clearly on some issues, you can do it in this way, or you can it in an opposite way.'

「生存還是滅亡,這是個值得思考的問題,對於人生來講,沒有什麼選擇比這個更大了。實際上改動了莎士比亞的原話。反映了人們需要的不僅是生態危機的預言家,而且是今天全球問題的開拓者。生態也有生存還是滅亡的問題。目前城市化的進程加快,面臨的生態問題也不知所終。而小洲正面臨著這些問題。而這句話也反映了中國的行政方式,就是我們不需要把問題說的很明確,亦可這樣,也可以那樣。」
