Artist statement for L.A Driving:

'This video records my experience with LA's transportation. Living in LA, traffic problem is the most irritable experience in people's daily life. I specially spared one day to make a journey fully experiencing the tiresome transportation, in which I traveled with videotaping by subway from 6:00A.M to noon, and then continuing the rest journey by transferring buses as main transportation till midnight. The video that I took was clipped through transmission to reach a sense of rhythm, which may be the life rhythm longed for by people living in LA. Every city reflects its own rhythm, while the rhythm of LA is monotony.'

「這個錄像是通過我在LA居住了半年中所體驗的感受，就是我每天都在與交通做鬥爭。在LA，大部分人認為交通是生活中最煩躁的事。而我用了一天時間體驗LA的交通，我從早上6點開始，坐上地鐵在整個城市中穿行至中午，我便換乘汽車到處轉至夜晚。並用錄像記錄一些過程。我通過花一天的時間充分的體驗了交通的煩躁。錄像的剪輯通過變速來到達一些節奏感。也許這就是生活在這裡的人所嚮往的節奏。每個城市都有自己的節奏，而LA的節奏就是單調。」
