The Soy House Artist Club occupies a former soy sauce manufacturing facility that had been abandoned for over a decade. The space was subsequently repurposed as an extension of Paint House Studio under the sponsorship of the landlord of the soy sauce factory, serving as an exhibition venue while providing artist residencies, accommodation, symposiums, and various cultural programming. Conceived as a collaborative platform for creators across diverse disciplines and mediums, the Soy House Artist Club and Paint House Studio functioned as residency hubs for contemporary artists in Tainan City, evolving toward a community-centered arts collective.

Between 2010 and 2011, management of the Soy House Artist Club was delegated to an emerging artist collective called "Doujika Creators Alliance" (豆擠咖創作者聯盟), comprised of Wang Jui-Heng, Lin I-Chun, Lin Chia-Hsun, Chang Yen-Tzu, and Su Ching-Han. These artists represented the younger generation of practitioners who had previously engaged with the Paint House Studio initiatives. During the club's formative years, they oversaw both strategic planning and operational management, bringing expertise from architecture, fine arts, audiovisual documentation, and spatial design.

The Soy House Artist Club spans roughly 300 ping, with approximately 10 meters apart from the Paint House Studio.
