Yang Tsun-Chih: Paint House Gallery Shelter Reconstruction Project 楊尊智:文賢油漆工程行掩體改建工程
Yang Tsun-Chih's Paint House Gallery Shelter Reconstruction Project was structured in three phases from 2002 to 2003:
Phase 1: Ornamental Artifice, Made Regardless—Work on Mondays, Never on New Year's Eve (January 19 to April 30, 2002)
Phase 2: "Storming the Hill" (May 1 to December 31, 2002)
Phase 3: "Sky Mending" (May 2003)
This project functioned both as an architectural renovation and as a progressive artistic intervention. Each phase represented a distinct stage in Yang's creative process and was presented as part of a series of solo exhibitions, though with different public access schedules: Phase I was accessible only on Mondays; Phases II and III were viewable in conjunction with other exhibitions taking place at the Paint House. Upon completion of the three phases, Yang Tsun-Chih presented the exhibition "Transgression" as a conclusive presentation of this three-year project.
