The exhibition entitled 'Japanese Women Artists in Avant-garde Movements, 1950-1975' held at Tochigi Prefectural Museum of Fine Arts from July to September 2005 consists of 220 works ranging from painting, print, sculpture, object to film and video by 46 Japanese female artists. The present catalogue includes essays written in Japanese with English summaries, artist biographies, chronology and bibliography.
