Catalogue published in conjunction with the solo exhibition of Chinese artist Lin Tianmiao at Beijing Tokyo Art Projects, Beijing. Lin had worked in textile design before becoming a full-time artist in her mid-thirties. In the accompanying essay, the curator of the exhibition Pi Li writes that this is 'a concentrated display of the new forms of her language after 2001. Bodies, silk, thread balls, silk threads, binding, weaving and the amazing amount of handwork — all these symbols and languages that the artist has previously used are completely and perfectly mingled in the works'.
With essays by Karen Smith, Pi Li and an interview with the artist by Pi Li. Includes artist's chronology, exhibition and publication history.
