This exhibition was organised with the aim to display the achievements in Chinese sculpture of the 1990s, and to arouse interests in discussing and studying contemporary sculptural art so as to give impetus to the development of sculpture in the future. The sculptural pieces presented in this catalogue cover both indoor and outdoor works by twenty Chinese sculptors. Biographies of the artists are included. There is also a 'Q&A' session with the participating sculptors. Preface by Ren Kelei (Director of the Henxiangning Art Gallery) and Shao Dazhen (Professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts).
