The economic term "BRIC" refers to the fast-growing developing economies of Brazil, Russia, India, and China. Contemporary art from these countries is increasingly visible in Japan. In 2008, three different exhibitions of Chinese, Indian, and Brazilian contemporary art took place in Tokyo. 'AVANT-GARDE CHINA: 20 Years of Chinese Contemporary Art' took place at the National Art Center in Tokyo and is now at the National Museum of Art in Osaka. 'Neo Tropocalia', on contemporary Brazilian art was held at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo. This photologue features the exhibition 'Chalo India!' (Let’s go India) from the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo. More than 100 works by 27 artists show a wide sampling of contemporary Indian art.
