The Hong Kong–based artist Samson Young moves through various locations in and around Asia Art Archive by way of a roving sound station—doubling as a bookmobile and deejay booth—to generate a series of mobile radio broadcasts for AAAFM 993. The project invokes classic radio news announcements, interview segments, and commercials by incorporating ambient noise sourced from AAA's audio collection.
Materials used include the John Clark Archive, which comprises over 280 interviews with artists and art professionals constructed through oral histories and conversations from across Asia spanning the past twenty-seven years. Young drew from the research collection to create a new sound work that played at AAA Library. He continues to conduct new interviews with fellow Hong Kong artists in John Clark's style.
