Artist sharing by PageNEXT Resident Chi Po-hao.

Taiwan-based sound artist and musician Chi Po-hao has explored Hong Kong via routes designed by PageNEXT members, as part of a one-month collaborative exchange programme with Bamboo Curtain Studio. The artist will share his observations, including the creative process during his residency, how he connects with the local environment, and the influences on himself and his artistic development. There will also be a Q&A session.

Chi Po-hao holds an MA in Music from Goldsmiths College, University of London, and a BA in Economics from National Taiwan University. His primary medium is sound, principally involving, but not limited to, live electronic, electroacoustic composition, and installation. Chi often applies self-made tools and found objects based on electronic devices, everyday materials, and junk in live performances. He was granted residencies at V2_Institute for the Unstable Media, Rotterdam and at Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris. He has performed on tour in Beijing, Hong Kong, Lanzhou, London, Manchester, Paris, Rotterdam, Taipei, Wales, and Yinchuan.
