The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Greater China Research Programme aims to support practitioners to utilise Asia Art Archive’s (AAA) extensive collection of primary source documents and develop new, in-depth historical research projects on topics relating to contemporary Chinese art.
The programme will offer research grants and a new residency for researchers starting in 2016.
Research Grants
Up to three individuals will be granted one-year fellowships to conduct research on contemporary art from China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. The top grantee will be awarded US$15,000 and is expected to research onsite at AAA in Hong Kong for up to two months in addition to fieldwork in the region relevant to the project. Up to two runners-up will be awarded US$5,000 each for their research projects.
Researchers-in-residence
Three experienced scholars or curators in the field will be invited to spend at least a week at AAA as short-term residents. They are expected to use the AAA collection for their research and to share their work in talks to follow.
