This catalogue was published in conjunction with the annual exhibition of the Artist Friendship Association of Asia, re-formed in 1973 from its predecessor Japan-China Artist Friendship Association founded in 1964, originally aiming to facilitate cultural exchange between Japan and Taiwan, Republic of China.
The Artist Friendship Association of Asia has become exclusively for Japanese artists from this year, making this exhibition a joint exhibition of four art associations from Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong and Japan.
