Mask

An artwork by Vu Dan Tan presented at 'Black & White'.

‘Black & White’ was organised by Eric Leroux at Salon Natasha in September-October 1996, when Vu Dan Tan and Natasha Kraevskaia were away for Tan’s participation in The 2nd Asia Pacific Triennale of Contemporary Art (APT2) at Queensland Art gallery, Brisbane, Australia.
The exhibition reflected on the minimalist practice in visual arts, as a response to the bright-coloured paintings that began to dominate the commercial galleries in Hanoi. It showcased a collection of black-and-white artworks from various artists.
The exhibition presented artworks by Vu Dan Tan, Truong Tan, Le Hong Thai, Mai Chi Thanh, Tran Thieu Quang, Allain Bailly, Le Tuan Anh, Do Minh Tam, Tran Nguyen Hieu, Bui Huu Hung, Bui Viet Dung, Nguyen Van Cuong, Ngo Dinh Chuong, Maritta Nurmi, and Eric Leroux.
