Invitation Letter from the House of World Cultures

Official invitation letter addressees to Natasha Kraevskaia to embark on the workshop and exhibition of 'Gap Viet Nam'.

In 1999 The House of World Cultures, Berlin, organised a four-month long event devoted to the Vietnamese culture. The event included a conference on Vietnamese political, social and religious issues, a theatre festival and a fashion show. One of the components of this multifaceted event was the exhibition 'Gap Viet Nam', one of the largest exhibitions of Vietnamese contemporary art outside of Vietnam. The exhibition included works of both Vietnamese artists residing in Vietnam and those residing outside of the country.
Salon Natasha was invited to participate in this event as a unit and to present artworks that were usually shown at Salon Natasha in a separate space — a wide balcony in the exhibition hall. The space predominantly served as a meeting spot for artists, curators and journalists and as a place for art talks and discussions.
The artworks on display included paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics and art objects by Nguyen Van Cuong, Nguyen Minh Thanh, Nguyen Quang Huy, Le Hong Thai, Do Minh Tam, Vu Bich Thuy, Nghiem Xuan Binh, Dinh Thi Tham Poong, Luong Thi Anh Tuyet,  Eric Leroux, Maritta Nurmi, Truong Tan, Mai Chi Thanh, Nguyen Nhu Y, Tran Thieu Quang, Phung Pham, Le Tuan Anh, Nguyen Hoi, Bui Huu Hung and Vu Dan Tan.
