This publication is produced to document the exchange project 'Media as a Medium' which started in April 2008. Students from the Universität der Künste Berlin, Beaconhouse National University, and National College of Arts, Lahore, communicated and worked together through the Internet. Work in progress was exhibited at the UdK Berlin during a one-day conference in June 2008. The workshop was aimed at engaging students in dialogue about media images, their relevance, and to analyse and respond to the mechanism of the media. It also offered the opportunity for the students to learn about recent developments in the German and Pakistani art scenes, about the academic discourse as well as the respective culture and history.
