Bibliography Workshop

The first closed-door Bibliography Workshop in partnership with the Bengal Foundation and the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dhaka University. With students and young researchers from various institutions in Bangladesh, the workshop examined writings on art and activism in Bangladesh between 1980 and the 1990s, culminating in a bibliography that will feed into the Bibliography project database as a special contribution.

Panel Discussion | Arts - Languages - Contexts: Modern and Contemporary Art Writing of Bangladesh

A public panel discussion presented with the Bengal Foundation and Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka. Bangladesh-based artists and publishers gathered to discuss the relationship between artistic practice and art writing to the politics behind language. Issues specific to art writing and research in Bangladesh were also addressed, as well as the role of language in shaping the cultural field.
