Biography:
Kong Kai Ming (b. 1932, Hong Kong)

An artist and educator, Kong Kai-ming has worked with public institutions such as the Departments of Extramural Studies at both Chinese University of Hong Kong and University of Hong Kong, as well as the South China Film Industry Workers Union, Wen Wei Po, and Hong Kong Academy of Fine Arts.

This interview provides his perspective on the impact of political affiliations on art practitioners’ access to resources in Hong Kong, such as teaching positions, exhibition venues, and libraries. He also shares his experiences of compiling teaching materials for various institutions, including a distance learning television course by the Department of Extramural Studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Kong lives in Hong Kong.

Szeto Yuen-kit has been on staff at the Hong Kong Museum of Art since 1986 and is currently Curator for Xubaizhai and Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Collections. His main field of research is Ming and Qing paintings and Chinese art education. His academic writing has been published in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Taiwan, and he has presented lectures at various universities and educational institutes.

江啟明
1932年生於香港。

江啟明身兼藝術創作和教育工作，曾任職多個公、私營機構，包括香港中文大學及香港大學校外課程部、包括華南電影工作者聯合會、《文匯報》及香港美術專科學校。

江氏在訪問中闡述自己作為藝術家對政治的觀點與及當年取得教育職位、展覽場地以至圖書館資源的渠道，亦分享他當時為不同藝術機構編纂教材的體會，當中提及他為香港中文大學校外進修部製作電視教材的情形。

江氏現居香港。

司徒元傑自1986年起於香港藝術館工作，現職館長，專責「虛白齋藏品」及中國書畫部門。其研究範疇集中於明清繪畫及中國藝術教育，於香港、廣州、台灣等地發表大量學術文章，並應邀於各大學及教育機構講學。
