"You don't start a non-profit gallery in Bangkok, but a commercial gallery would be more feasible...."
This is something I remember vividly when I told a friend about my idea of a non-profit gallery 5 years ago. "Why do you want to do it and how?" People tend to ask these questions. The only thing that intrigues them is the fact that we, of all people involved in this daunting project, are not people from 'high society' in Thailand and we are not living off some trust fund. We are ordinary people who strongly believe in what we do and we burden ourselves with the impossible task of promoting contemporary art in Thailand and bringing Thai art to the art world and vice verse.
