The 10th Triennale-India showcases some of the modern movements in art, represented by works from 30 countries. For this edition, the Akademi has decided to honour and felicitate 'The Grand Old Man of Indian Art', Professor Bhabesh Chandra Sanyal who was stepping into his hundredth year, by presenting a sampling of the evocative words and works of the artist. As well, some of India's celebrated contemporary artists were invited to share their vision of art through this catalogue, these artists were Akbar Padamsee, Amarnath Sehgal, Dinkar Kowshik, K.G. Subramanian, Krishen Khanna, Paritosh Sen, Satish Gujral, Somnath Hore, Sankho Chaudhuri and Tyeb Mehta.
