The Thirteen Artists Awards, given triennially by the Cultural Center of the Philippines, recognizes young, promising Filipino artists who demonstrate the use of fresh visual language, innovative solutions to artistic problems, and sustained creative output. Works by the Thirteen Artists Awardees were featured in the exhibition 'Brave New Works' from June to July 2009 as one of the programmes marking the 40th anniversary of the CCP. With separate sections on each artist and their work.
