XIA Jing's exhibition is entitled, Weapons of Assassination and runs until May 19, 2007 at Tang Contemporary Art, Silom Galleria, Bangkok. She has come up with a model of the famed, but perhaps apocryphal "flying guillotine"-- a sort of hat with a rotary saw on its rim that fits over the head and, with the yank of a chain, severs the neck. She also experimented with coal, casting a one-tonne headless Buddha figure and many smaller coal Buddha heads.
