This group exhibition by Asian artists is a travelling show organised by the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum, at the State University of the New Jersey in the United States. It is considered the first in-depth look by a Westerner at how, during the period of the American abstract movement (1945-1970), a number of Asian American artists combined the Eastern traditions with the Modern techniques to create unique and meaningful works of art. This catalogue includes an essay by Jeffery Wechsler, the curator from the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum, and brief introduction of each artist in both Chinese and English.
