Exhibition catalogue of Bedri Baykam's solo show at the Urart Sanat Galerileri, Istanbul, between 28 March - 16 April, 1991. In 'Gerceksahteler,' the artist criticizes the western art world and the idea of originality by painting his own versions of famous Western paintings. In particular he picks images that stand for certain Western ideals, such as Manet's 'Olympia', Delacroix's 'Liberty Leading the People', and a series of Edward Hopper images of modern America. Includes an essay in English by Baykam.
