'NO LAB in RMB City', a project by Cao Fei and MAP Office as part of the 'Prospect.1 New Orleans' biennial in 2008, was redesigned in new iterations and titled 'NO LAB on Tour', on view at The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) Galleries in Lacoste, France; Savannah and Atlanta, Georgia; and Hong Kong. The journey began in 2009 at Lacoste and has its end two years later at SCAD Hong Kong.
Accompanying the exhibition, Cao Fei + Map Office: NO LAB On Tour catalogues the project that recalls the massive natural disaster of Hurricane Katrina through a site-specific installation and experience via film and Second Life, an online virtual community. Essays by Maurizio Bortolotti and Claire Tancons are included to further illustrate the project.
With Artist biographies.
