This documentary chronicles the making of Ai Weiwei's work for documenta 12, entitled Fairytale, and also constitutes a component of the project. He invited 1001 Chinese citizens of varying ages and backgrounds to visit Kassel, Germany, from June to July 2007. They came from different regions of China and had never been to a foreign country.
