The emergence of alternative art spaces managed by young artists have played an important role in the last ten years of Indonesian art development. This book was published on the occasion of an exhibition at North Art Space, Jakarta in June 2010, which presented twenty-one alternative spaces and wide-ranging art initiatives along with the documentation of their activities.
