Published on the occasion of the exhibition 'Gala Porras-Kim: Between Lapses of Histories' held at MUAC, Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo in Mexico City. 

'Galas Porras-Kim explores cultural artifacts and their relationship with their original functions, reflecting on the way in which objects are inserted into museums and heritage institutions and subjected to cataloguing and conservation systems. Institutions thus participate in defining and signifying the object.

In the exhibition Gala Porras-Kim: Between Lapses of Histories and the Folio that accompanies it, the artist addresses museological and epistemological frameworks and the legal structures for cultural artifacts.
