This book was published by the artist's family to commemorate the 40th anniversary of his death. Born in 1865 in Osaka, Eiki Yamamoto, or Gosetsudo Taiki studied Japanese traditional painting and established himself as an artist, getting involved in projects commissioned by the imperial family and participating in Paris World Expo in 1900. However, he later left the mainstream of Japanese art society, preferring instead to travel and paint for his own art's sake. Thus he is now practically an unknown artist. Some of his works are in collection of Fukui Fine Arts Museum, Fukui Prefecture, Japan. Images of his works and a detailed biography of the artist are included. In Japanese only.
