Haegue Yang first gained attention from the art world in the mid-2000s for her use of everyday objects and industrial materials to explore the lives of individuals and communities from social, political, and cultural perspectives. Her works have developed and expanded over the last five years as she has enlarged the scope of her work through allusions to various other artistic genres such as literature, film, music and performance. Her works have also offered interdisciplinary, metaphorical and abstract critiques of the historical context of human life. In this exhibition, audiences are invited to experience the fruits of Yang's artistic development since Sadong 30, her first solo exhibition in Korea in 2006.
