This is the monograph of the Shanghai-based artist Huang Yuanqing. A self-taught calligrapher in origin, Huang combines free and easy line, fresh, intense and sparkling colours, and rhythmical space to form the base for his abstract paintings. The works featured in this publication were created in the period mid-1990s-2003. An artist’s biography is also included.
