Context
Founded by Margaret Shiu in 1995, Bamboo Curtain Studio (BCS) is a non-profit independent art space based in Taiwan. According to their website, it aims to 'promote cross-cultural exchanges by providing a meeting point for visitors from national and international art related fields, for short visits or specific projects.' Bamboo Curtain Studio organises two residency programmes annually as well as events and exhibitions.
