Monograph of Liu Qinghe, featuring works created between 1991 and 2002. Fan Dian wrote, 'Liu Qinghe used ink-and-wash to paint realistic scenes. In those works, he depicted the lifestyles of urban youth, and thus expressed his own sensitivity to both the outward appearance and the inner essence of urban culture. Breaking out of the existing figure painting formulas, and creating shapes with brush and ink in a new and original way, Liu found his own artistic standpoint on the conceptual level of contemporary culture.'
