This is the catalogue for the 14th Microwave International New Media Arts Festival titled 'Screenarcadia', which centres on the viewing screen and its cultural and ideological implications. The publication consists of three booklets. One contains academic essays, another presents works included in the Main Exhibition and Project Room, with artist statements, technical statements, and biographies. The Project Room, a collaboration between Vooruit Arts Centre & S.M.A.K. (Belgium) and Microwave, showcases video documentation of art actions to hack public space in Hong Kong and around the world. The third booklet outlines complementary programmes of the festival (including ALiVE Open Lab, a collaboration with the City University of Hong Kong School of Creative Media; a conference; an artist symposium; other workshops and talks; and a public screening programme co-organised with Videotage).
